Movement input in GVR SDK

Hello guys, I'm new to VR and using Google Cardboard SDK at the moment. I tried the GVR demo scene and added a script to move the player. After a long while of debug logging, I found out I have no input when using CrossPlatformInput.GetAxisRaw. I defined the buttons in input manager but nothing changed. Please tell me why. I'm not including anything because I didn't do much to change the demo scene, and frankly, I don't know what to include, so please ask me if you want to see my scripts,...
