Should I get a VR set now or wait?

I REALLY want to get into VR. But I don't want to buy too early. But then again I don't want to miss the boat.

I like the sound of Samsung Gear VR, but then I've also been reading about Google Daydream VR which says it will work with a Google Pixel phone which isn't even out yet. I don't have a big budget either.

I just want to dive into the VR world and plug myself into the matrix already!

What should I do???
