I'm currently setting up a quite basic particle system in a VR environment (Oculus Rift) using Unity 5.2.2f1.
Basically, I have the particle system to emit spheres using the mesh render mode under "Renderer" and selecting sphere. The spheres float upwards and I have selected the simulation space "World".
