cardboard monetization

I have just released a paid game on GearVR which has done far better than I thought it would.
Because of this I am now working on a Google Cardboard version, however, I have no idea on the best way to monetize it because paid apps don't seem to sell as well on android and IOS.

What monetization methods work best on mobile VR?
